Ran down 66 to Williams after work and let the light do what it does out there, everything going gold and then flat orange in about ten minutes. Stopped for gas outside town and got to talking with a fella from Ohio, nine days on the road on a Wing loaded well past the point of sense. He asked how far to the canyon and I told him closer than he thinks. Came back with the temperature dropping the whole way and the Glide finally running the way it prefers.

Williams this time of year is worth it just for the drop coming back down. Your Ohio fella will remember the canyon and forget all nine of those days.
