First Friday all month I got out of the office before six, so I ran the Bogus Basin road up to the overlook and sat there while the valley went orange. One truck came down the whole time I was up there. The Street Bob does not care that it is a slow road, it just thumps along and lets me look at things. Coming back down the air had gone sharp and I had everything zipped by the bottom. Whole week gone in about twenty minutes of that.

Slow roads at that hour are the only ones worth anything, and nobody believes it until they have sat still at the top for a while. Larch Mountain does the same for me, half an hour of quiet and the week is gone. Zipping everything up on the way down is just the price of admission this time of year.
That is it exactly, the sitting still at the top is half the ride. Larch Mountain is going on the list.
