Sopot je proradio

Paseo en solitario Carretera costera Lluvia Mantenimiento Vista panorámica +5

Rundt Osteroeya i yr

The Bandit in the Shed

Lluvia Prueba Principiante Primera moto Compra de segunda mano

Drove out past Innishannon on Saturday to look at a Suzuki Bandit some fella was selling out of a shed. Forty minutes each way just to look at a bike, and I still went, because that is apparently where I am at these days. Told my brother I was only going for a look and even I did not believe myself saying it.The bike itself was grand. A bit of surface rust on the exhaust from sitting out one winter too many, but the engine turned over first go and did not sound rough at all. The fella was decent about it too, no hard sell, just talked me through what he had done to it and left me to poke around on my own. He let me take it up the road and back, out past the church and down towards the river, and for about ten minutes I actually forgot I was only there to look. Then it started lashing rain t...

Stopped by a slide above Palchan

Paseo en solitario Puerto de montaña Lluvia India Adventure +1

Left Manali around eight. Sky was the usual monsoon grey but not actually raining, so I took the Bullet up the Solang side just to be moving. Half the road up there is patched or washed out this time of year and you ride expecting it.A couple of kilometres past Palchan there was a queue. Small slide across most of the road, mud and stones and one rock nobody was shifting by hand. Two trucks, a tempo traveller and about fifteen of us waiting. The BRO machine came in forty minutes or so, which for August is quick.Stood there with tea from the shack at the corner. That man does his whole season out of exactly this kind of morning. Nobody was shouting, everyone knows how it goes. Once it opened I went up ten minutes more, saw the cloud sitting flat on the road ahead and turned around. Home by ...

Waiting Out the Rain at a Feed Store

Carretera rural Lluvia Relato Cruiser

July storm came up fast out past Franklin yesterday evening, sky going green-black over the fields quicker than the radio said it would. I know better than to argue with Tennessee weather, so I pulled the Heritage under the awning of an old feed store that's been closed since before I had gray in my beard.Sat there on the step watching the rain come down sideways, thunder rolling off the hills like a freight train with no schedule. Bike ticking beside me, both of us dry enough and in no hurry. After a while an old boy in a pickup pulled in to wait it out same as me. We talked bikes and hay prices through his rolled-down window without ever learning each other's names. That's about the purest kind of conversation there is.Rain quit like somebody turned a tap. Steam coming up off the blacktop...
