One canvas bag on the left

Two summers of riding around with a rain shell and the tire plug kit bungeed across the back of the seat was enough. Put one waxed canvas bag on the left side, on the little steel carrier that bolts in behind the footpeg, and left the right side alone. I did not want it looking like it was headed around the world. It takes the shell, the plug kit, a thermos and the paper map I keep meaning to stop carrying.

The carrier ate most of Sunday afternoon, mostly because one of the bolts it wants is the one a previous owner put in with red threadlocker and a lot of conviction. The bag itself is two straps and done.

Took it out after work today, Bodega Highway to the coast and up 1 past Jenner to one of the pullouts with the rock wall above the beach. The fog sat maybe a mile out the whole time and never came in. Nothing rattled, nothing touched the tire, and the bag came home with a little sand in the bottom, which I am counting as broken in.
