Ran out toward Nolensville after supper, the back way along Mill Creek where the road still has more tractors on it than subdivisions, though not by much anymore. Passing the high school I could hear the marching band working the same eight bars over and over under the lights, so I pulled in by the fence and let the Heritage idle down to listen. Took them six tries to get it right and I stayed for all six. Soybeans along Rocky Fork are starting to go yellow at the edges.

That band will still be on those same eight bars come Halloween, and they will have it by then. We get ours from the high school up the hill every evening this time of year, and I have caught myself rolling off the throttle for it more than once. Beans are turning out this way too.
